Heating Assistance

Heating Assistance provides eligible members of Capital Electric Cooperative, Inc. with programs and resources to help manage heating costs during cold months, ensuring safety and comfort for all households.

If you are having trouble paying your electric bill, please contact our billing department at 223-1513 as soon as possible to let us know. 

In most cases, we can work with you by setting up a payment arrangement as well as connecting you for help from the following agencies:

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program

These services may be available to you:

HEATING: LIHEAP can pay for a portion of fuel used to heat your home during the months your household is eligible between October 1st and May 31st during a particular heating season.

WEATHERIZATION: The weatherization program helps low-income people make their homes and apartments energy efficient.

EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE: LIHEAP funds are available when there is a home energy emergency.
